Since the mog is such a beast, there are times you need serious tools. We've rebuilt ours and have a few tools and some top tips for dealing with the hardest bits.
First off, hubs. i've removed 8 now, and 6 came off easy with the classic threaded bar method;
however, two didn't. They were ********. The above was plan "A", the picture below is of plan "E"
We used all of that jack's 32 tons, and a sledghammer.
If you get stuck, pm me.

Crikey!
That brings back a few memories from my HGV repair days. I made some weird and wonderful tools for what, on the face of it, should have been simple jobs!
If they are that tough to get off, what are they like to re-fit?
Paul.

Drums are easy - take out the little set screws and put M10 bolts (two inches of thread is useful) in the other two holes and off they come.
Badly adjusted handbrake or sticking brakes can make it hard. Definitely back off the seashell adjusters before putting them back on.
As for getting the hubs back on, not too bad - if you clean them. They are a very tight fit, but very, very well made. They tend to get stuck when they've got years of crap in and (probably) have overheated a few times. I don't like banging against bearings, but a rubber mallet will normally get them on far enough to use the hub bolt.
I also have a cut down hub bolt with an M20 bolt welded on, screw it in and then use an M20 nut to draw it together.
cheers

A remover for the pins that the brake shoes hinge on. They can be a bit stuck, and only have 1 cm of thread on them, so you can't draw them out with the thread. So I made this
Works a treat, takes 10 mins to make.
