I was going to say who says winter is over but....
There can be no surer sign when the Defender's heater starts working

Like all bits of machinery the Defender heater has an optimum temperatutre at which it will operate. With the Defender heater it is when the weather is around a comfortable 18 to 25 degrees. This is good Land Rover engineering design and if the Defender was fitted with a LR fridge it would operate when the weather is between 3 and -5 degrees.

Funny you should say that as I had to pay well over the odds for an aftermarket fridge to mimic that operating window

I love it when fridges work without power in winter...

Did it leave an oil patch where you left it?

No - well I don't think so - but it does let in a howling gale of freezing cold air around it's sides...
