Dear All,
The Mrs and I went to this last year and had a great day out. It's a close friends 60th birthday bash on the same day this year and so we can't go.
The whole event was extremely well organised and very professionally ran. Your Landy doesn't need to be old (Vintage) as they put them in to the 'Classic' category anyway. Which they are, of course.
The route around Loch Ness and the surrounding hills and other lochs is superb and very scenic.
The day starts with a meeting where all the cars are parked up in their own allocated bay, so you can have a look around the other vehicles and chat to other owners. there's a briefing about the route where specific relevant info is given as well as a pack of info and directions for the route. You can just take your time, stop off, wherever, for lunch and there is a sweeper van with mechanics in it in case you break down.
Here are a few pictures from last year.
I have nothing to do with this event, other than going on it last year. I'm only posting about it because it was a great day out and a well organised event and for very good causes. (last year it was for RNLI boats on Loch Ness) So, I think others would enjoy it.
I'm sure some users of the other forums within Difflock would be interested, but I don't want to copy this in to every section. Don't know if a moderator can do anything?

Sounds like a good event and one I'd be interested in myself.
I think it'd be best in the events section.

Good thinking that man!
We were lucky and had a glorious day for the tour. We made a bit of a weekend of it and stayed over. Beautiful part of the world.
Do you know if a moderator can move it to there, or shall I re-post it there myself?
