Hi,

After coming back from Sodbury (first timer and thoroughly enjoyed it), noticed at the services, that LPG was 57p a litre! Evil or Very Mad

Have we been here before, I remember Diesel being 2/3ths the price of 4star. Very Happy And now? Mad

When the gov get enough people onto gas the will hike up the price they will start to lose to much revenue not to.
All the SPAM cats in the gov will not be able to get there overinflated pay rises at the expense of the tax payer.

Makes me Mad

The price of LPG does vary a lot ! I am paying 45.9 ppl at the most convenient place (petrol station on the way home from work) but when I can be bothered I can detour in York to get it for 39.9 (pain in a*** though as puts me in wrong bit of one way system etc), I could do about detour of around 9 miles extra and get it for 39.9 at Morrisons at Borougbridge. The next one nearest home is 49 ppl at Northern Energy - I only go there if desperate - even though you get loyalty points they only equate to 2 ppl off, which still makes it more expensive than the place on the way to work....

Interestingly, it doesn't seem to matter if it is an urban or rural location - the price can vary in either ! I went across to the coast a few weeks ago and noticed various places on the way with varying prices at 40 ppl, 42 ppl, 44 ppl and 49 ppl.

The dearest I've seen locally in Warrington is 45p a litre.
But if I go to work, I pass the Shell in Salford at 39.9p and an independant at 41.9p in Belle Vue.

I have noticed this too. I have seen a few over the 45p mark. I fill mine up for about 42.5p locally, but have seen it as little as 39.5p a little further afield.

Those of us in the Midlands and south west can use Countrywide Farmers - current price 36p / litre plus it's a monthly account which is nice. Most of their outlets are 24 hours. Check them out http://www.countrywidefarmers.co.uk/pws/Content.ice?page=EnergyAutogas&pgForward=businesscontentbasic

I also use Countrywide, and find them very good, but unluckily I live on the edge of their area. Their closest site is in Marlborough. 15 miles from me and in the wrong direction Sad

LPG in the SE varies enormously these days. I pay anything from 48.9p/l this morning to 45.5p/l.

How do you get a flow gas monthly account and where do you fill up.

Also where do you fill up around Leeds?

hi sptb,

Sorry should be spelt FLOGAS (no W), but we fill up in Castleford, at a place called LUMBS (opposite the tip) - just asked for a form to open account, and pay monthly on the 15th IIRC.

It gets quite expensive running 2 V8 Discos Very Happy

It's cheap over here, about 19 pence per litre. You can also get a grant from the goverment for installing an lpg tank.

Just watched a programme where they were running vehicles on coconut oil Confused
