I think the back looks quite snazzy, the front looks a bit bland and samey and I'm not keen on the sloping roof from the side. Doesn't look proportionate with the high bonnet.

Personally I'm not a fan of all the touch screen stuff on a car, I appreciate how easy it makes it for the designers to integrate the technology but I find it very distracting. Once you get to know a car with buttons you can find the button without looking but with a touchscreen you have to look.

I guess all of the land rover range are similar under the skin so it comes down to your personal taste, from the interior it's obviously aimed at a certain type of person but I'm afraid I don't fall into that 'type'.

I'm with you there. I really dislike the new trend of large multifunctional screens in cars these day, IMO they're just as distracting as driving and flicking through Facebook on your phone!

Give me knobs and buttons any day!

And that front end looks like a blancmange...

'Jelly-mould'. Yeah, I remember when the Sierra first came out - what a shocker!

I hope the build quality is better than of late, know a pair of brothers with SVR's the electrics are a nightmare and the build quality on them is crap, they were both low loaded a way to a dealer with various 'issues' 10 days ago and haven't returned yet

I think taking any car to dealer with a fault that can't be fixed with a laptop and a new part is the kiss of death for any car these days. Seems to be my experience anyway!

As much as I appreciate all the safety gadgets in modern cars, I'm happy to stick with my 22 year old Toyota Surf!

Perhaps that's the difference between being a mechanic to look at the problem, and a technician being told that's what the laptop tells us is wrong.

I agree, the problem is the dealers will only train and employ technicians then charge customers £100 an hour for it?!

I use a bosch approved garage locally, it's £45 an hour but they're completely up to date with software and training and are really good at fault finding. They've fixed no end of things that the dealers had tried to fix over and over for me in the past.

It's very frustrating and actually puts me off buying a car that's still in the warranty period.
