Great pic. Hope they fly away soon.

Your subject "Birds love my buggy" reminded me of my younger days when birds loved my buggy. The buggy was different though, it was a Triumph Herald, and the birds were different too!

I would have left them to hatch but unfortunately I noticed it a bit too late and had been driving it around...so eggs are probably boiled (or scrambled) now Shocked No sign of mum coming back...

Did someone mention KFC?

Their old fryer oil does add a lovely aroma to a dirty diesel 4x4.

I'm in a loop.

I nearly crashed it. I was coming in to land and the approach to the landing strip was over a wooded area then over a lake. I'd throttled right back, so was effectively gliding and had reduced speed to a little above stalling speed (I should have kept the speed up a bit more). It was a nice sunny day and as I passed over the wooded area there was an up current of air, which you get in those conditions and this gave a good bit of lift. As I passed over the lake those same conditions give a down current of air which destroys lift and the aircraft sank and would have crashed into the bank of the lake but fortunatley I had enought time and just enough height to open the throttle and pull up and miss the bank by probably a few inches although I can't be sure as I had my eyes shut. That was my first solo flight. I can't think why but my instructor wouldn't go up again with me.

I'm still dizzy.

i did that on my first solo gliding flight at RAF Catterick

loads of thermals coming off the runway, the hardstandings, the hangar roofs and the factories on the other side of the A1.

instructions were no soaring, just a straight round and land.

bumpy as hell going through the thermals and lined up on finals directly 90 deg to the A1.

there wasnt any sink as such, just an absence of thermal as i flew over the field towards the strip.

i was ok, but the driver of the christian salvesan wagon cacked himself....
