Hey everyone, nice to be a part of this
I've had a stock (except 255/70/15 AT's) 1994 Indi 2.8 TDX for about 12 months languishing in the shed and now its time to start tearing it down. So my first question is do I need the front sway bar? Is it an MOT requirement and what difference will it make to articulation?
I'm not a newbie to motors having run my own vehicle customisation shop for over 20 years before I joined the ranks of 'employed' people, so I know my way around a welder (good feppin job too looking under this wreck) and am fairly ok with making things work.
Hopefully you'll get to share the story with me as I go along. There's gonna be a surprise in store right at the end tho
Nice to make your acquaintance,
Rich

Sway bar - if it isn't there it can't be tested
I took both front and rear (might not have had a rear even from the factory) off my Mk1 Shogun - it sailed through the MOT each year.
Just disconnecting it will cause a fail, it has to be removed altogether.
The only thing I will say is that it will roll tremendously once it is removed (maybe) so you may want to keep it and use quick disconnects instead.
It's definitely a suck it and see situation...
BTW welcome to the forum - I think you'll be needing to post pics so get hold of a mod (. or RichardD) to give you uploading rights after all...

Fabulous advice, thank you. Well it's been over the pit today and it's a WRECK!! It's going to need some serious work.
Where can you buy body mount bushings from? Can you use LR ones? I want to use the bloodred 2" lift but not on top of the crap I have here!

Well - not really, although we are aware that people are wanting these things we are not geared up to produce the rubber/polyurethane bushing (YET). May I recommend scrapyard?...
