Heyas,

Great place this forum - been combing through and I keep finding lots of useful info for my project. It's a '98 2.0 V6 LWB vitara with a 45mm body lift and some 31" tyres on their way. I'm at the point of figuring out what kind of suspension lift I'd need and for the moment have picked this 2" set to get the ball rolling (hoping ebay links aren't a bad thing here):
Suzuki Vitara / X90 2" lift kit with ProComp Shocks
Along with it I plan on installing a 2" rear diff bracket and lowering brackets for the front diff as well. My plans also include modding the rear bump stops , and possibly adding rear spring spacers to ensure no tyre rubbing.

Although I found lots of info about suspension lifts here, I'm still not sure whether I'd be needing a rear prop shaft spacer, and if so - what size? Once the lift kit arrives I'll take some measurements to determine what the difference will be, but in all them online shops there's no info about what size spacer is required for different lifts. I'm thinking when lowering the front diff I'd be needing a spacer there too. Is there a general rule about the prop spacers size that could help me determine what I'd need for a proper lift?

Cheers

you will need a rear prop spacer, not sure how big mine is as it came with the calmini 3in lift kit i found.
i think it was around 20mm, i have not needed a front prop spacer but you will need diff drop brackets to help the cv joints.
the jimny bits kit looks ok and i have heard nothing bad about them as a company, in fact the oposite, the front arms may mean the wheels lean out at the top so you may need to get some strut alingment bolts to help it.
like these:-

bits for vits are also a good source of parts and the blogs are very useful

hope that helps and good luck
