Hi I am new to this forum, I am coming to the end of a project I have building gradually over the last year, I have been putting an XUD9TE Peugeot 306 D turbo engine and LDV pilot gearbox into a pipe frame buggy built on an SJ413 samurai chassis and running gear, engine is in and running like a dream, but I am having trouble getting the clutch to work, I have fitted the LDV flywheel and a brand new 3 piece clutch kit and slave cylinder, when I try pressing the clutch, the pedal is very hard like a brake pedal, slave cylinder moves fine when removed, had the gearbox out half a dozen times today, new release bearing is fine, fork arm is fine, tried putting the old LDV pressure plate in and it made no difference, I can see into the bell housing and it looks to me like the release bearing just isn't able to force the pressure plate fingers (like something is stopping it inside) I'm sure a few people have already done this conversion and I hope someone can help me, I appreciate any help given
