Well it appears that in 24 hours this thread had 47 views.
Yes I know that don't mean that every user looked at this post, but it gives an indication of the current usage.

When I post in my Alldays thread, which I know has attracted a large number of watchers over the years, I only sometimes get replies. Doesn't mean they're not looking in to see the pretty pictures ...
I think some forums have actually disappeared, the D44 one seems to have gone!

I think too many think that the book of faces is the answer and to be honest it isn't - at least not in this country - like all things Facebook has spawned people that think they know more about your business that you do yourself, offering to write a Facebook page for you...
Forums are not really dead - they are just having a rest

I think forums get less posts because a lot of the questions have been asked now and the threads with all the good info are up there... also natural evolution means people have evolved to google better - they have to in order to survive.

We ditched the Twitter and Facebook at work.
Twitter is for saying inappropriate things in 140 letters or less and face book is okay for winch challenge events and maybe home-based companies.
In fact, for a hobby art business Twitter can be very good, if you can put the time in and shrug off the trolls.
I would say the happy-go-lucky days of offroading are behind us because there isn't the cheap vehicle stock out there and folk are stuck for cash.
Those builds inspire a forum like this
I like ART's race truck, but it doesn't inspire me. It is brilliant, but ordinary folk in a garage like me can't put that together for a number of reasons. I look at my truck and then at those ultra4 and it's kind of a turn off.
Richmayo is right though, we have all the words we need on lockers vs flex.

Richard - You ever thought of a blog for your alldays?
You could probably get more visitors than difflock at this rate!
Most of the times I check in here I see this:
