Just a quick question when should a fourtrak be boosting? what rpm?
what adjusts this?
and also what does adjusting the star wheel do?

If you're talking turbo then a turbo becomes effective (that is produces boost) when the engine reaches around 2000 revs

There is no adjustment to control this


If you want boost below this figure the bolt on a super charger Wink Laughing

the star wheel is one of the adjustments for on boost fuelling.....

in layman's terms, the more boost that's fed to your fuel pump, the more fuel it sends to your engine... Smile

I have had a few, usually 10psi by 2300rpm. Up the fuel and fit a SPAM pipe and you will get that down to about 1800rpm.
