Thought ill post up a build thread on my Vitara.
I've had a few but around 4 years ago I sold up and concentrated on a work van and a sensible family car.
I always bought them standard and fitted all the necessary bits to make them more capable off road however my last ones were also daily drives so I couldn't go too mad with them.
This one I bought after spending around 8 weeks driving past it, I wanted another vitara for adges but there slowly becoming harder to find in standard form, not rotten, not ropey or not cheap.
I got this one for £250 with one owner 10 months mot and fsh. Hes a beaut I love him haha.
Also with it not being my family car its my purpose built offroader (that isn't finished yet!!)
I wont bore you to much so here's what I've done so far.
5 patches of rust cut out and welded
Sills cut out and 4x2.5 box section welded in
Full backyard respray in battleship grey
3" lift all round
Diff drop brackets
Diff gaurd
Winch bumper
Rear bumper bar with recovery points
Interior stripped of sound deadening and painted grey
Composite door cards
Subaru seats
Sabelt harnesses
Momo steering wheel
Wellar wheels diamond back tyres
Few other bits I probably forgot.
I've also bought another vitara to use as spares for this one when I began breaking stuff hha.
Have some pictures
I still got plenty left to do, fit snorkel, spray wing, finish underneath etc but its all fun!

Looking good! Like it in grey.
Been thinking about doing a thread for my vit now that I've got enthusiastic about it again - but wasn't too sure where to put it. Now I've seen yours I think i'll start one on here too.
So what's next?

Looks like a very capable off roader !
I've just picked up an ebay bargain, soft top Vitara, genuine 72k on the clock, removable hard top. Automatic. £150 ! Just done the same welding in the boot aswell, Got the rear of the foot wells to do aswell before the mot is due, run's out on the 5th. Got no plans for mods though as it will be my wife's run about, all ready looking at getting another for myself though.
