Morning folks,

My insa's (215 75 15) on offset rims and 2" lift should be arriving today Cool and i wanted a little advice as regards the bumper.

Can i trim it in situ then? I was planning to cut the lower half off altogether like others have and wondered if it can be done whilst on? Do i remove the arch liner or just cut the lot to clear and tie up what's left and been useful?

I have a steady hand ( engineer) so dont mind cutting it whilst been on and a tad more awkward.

Thanks
Mick

If i was doing what you are i would jack up a corner at a time until the wheel is right in the arch and then see if anything touches and then trim off, doing the same with the wheels on full long and with the vehicles weight on each corner and then trim again, and then double check everything clears, and has more clearance than you need and away you go.

but seriously; do as Mr Tyre said and work out how much to trim before getting stuck in with the grinder... Or do what I do and let stuff "self clearance" it tends to leave a bit of a mess though Wink

facebook groups seem to have killed forums eventhough they are crap in comparison.

My mate runs 31s with 2" lift and has posted a few pics of the trimming needed, obviously you won't need to trim anywhere near as much but should give an idea

2 things:

Once joined you can never delete Facebook - you are forever there

The only thing you've missed on Facebook is the mindless morons that ask the same questions over and over and then give stupid advice to enable you to fix your truck - except it won't fix it but "another word beginning with F but one letter longer and will turn into stars if I write it here" it Laughing
