No one seems to have tried using an Iveco Daily transferbox for their builds, I wonder why. It's got to be strong enough for anything, it's a regular shape so easily mountable, and all the shafts are in a single vertical plane making it perfect for long travel independent suspension. And it's a remote box (divorced) so you could attach it to any rear wheel drive engine/gearbox combo. And it's cable operated by looks of things. It seems to tick all the boxes for an Independent Suspension Ultra4 truck !!!

Gear ratio calculations yet to come once I select new engine.

I'm looking at a possible change of direction on my buggy build so looking at new engine possibilities and looking at independent suspension. Hence been looking at tbox options to suit.

Sorry I don't have the ratios to hand. There's a locker in there and the Iveco website says:

"torque distribution of 32% to the front axle and 68% to the rear axle"

Not sure what that means, maybe one of those fancy torsen diffs.

Guess if you chose that transfer box then diff/gearbox ratios could be picked to suit...

It's four speed as well and almost 4:1. Going to call round the breakers tomorrow.

1:1
1:1.244
1:3.115

Sadly a no go. This transferbox has an RPM limit of 1500 in low range and a host of problems like overheating, circlip failure.

Are the output shafts "co-linear" to each other? Ie inline with each other?
