hi i put a new fuel filter on yesterday and filled tank with diesel lost power missing and lots of blue smoke.i drained tank today i think it had water in it aded another new filter still no different.not reving properly and if hold throttle down while missing engine management light comes on.any ideas.thanks

I would suggest checking the little gauze filter where the fuel inlet pipe enters the injector pump. Some had it in the banjo fitting and some in the pump under where the banjo bolt screws down into the pump. A fiddly job and if it's in the pump,a piece of mig wire with a tiny hook bent on the end should pull the filter up out. However,I think some didn't have any filter at the pump at all but it's worth a look.
It also could be that your MAF sensor has failed!

a year late lol ...but for future reference for anybody searching t'interweb....
my money is on the cam sensor failing. Replaced mine on my Nissan E24 Homy (basically a terrano) problem solved
