Hi,
Truck is a 1959 109" Land Rover with side fill tank. However, it has a later gauge, volt regulated, and sender unit. Gauge worked when sender was moved by hand.
A year later I put fuel in the tank ... two gallons plus. The gauge did not move.
I fiddled about a bit, eventually bypassing the volt regulator. The gauge rose SLOWLY to quarter full. Is that what should have happened .... I expected it to either rise quickly, or do nothing.
I'm guessing that I need to replace the virtually new volt regulator, or am I missing something ... like a poor earth on the volt regulator - which it should not be as it is bolted to a galvanised bulkhead. Anything else?
I do not have a temp gauge.
