That thing looks more like a Hummer than a Jeep I have seen some nice jeep pickups based on the four door Wrangler type jeep but that thing looks like a van with the top chopped a bit not for me.

+1 on the Hummer thing.
Too many of the pickups available in the UK are styled along the US super-macho snub nose styling. It's as if they thing their target market is solely made up of 40-something Essex boy has-beens with a paunch and a bad hair transplant.
I get fugly, I get idiosyncratic but that is OTT Hummer style overcompensation.

Not a good idea to remove the rear roof of an XJ as unlike the jeep comanche they do not have a separate chassis that is not to say that it cannot be done as I have seen some beautiful ones but not many as it would need a hell of a lot of structural strengthening to stop it from braking in two there was one on ebay being scraped some time ago it looked good but the chassis was broken in half you can get away with doing the four door ones but you end up with a tiny bed at the back not much good for anything.
The little red one on here is a bit special but it seems to have had a load of work on the rear suspension. https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=jeep+xj+pickup...DCtaZq2ggsAi9Y%3D
