Any tips on cleaning a synthetic winch rope?
Given that the rope is exposed to rain anyway, would it be OK to spool out and leave it to soak it overnight in a large bucket of clean water?

Take the metal bits off and do a cool wash in the washing machine.
I dump mine in the burn in my back garden with the hook around a post to get the worst of the muck out of it.
The most important bit is to squish the rope up to 'relax' it so the water can flush all the muck out. Washing it will prolong its life.
