The old paper licence said I could drive trucks until 27-12-2014. Ooopsy.
But the new card one says 16-01-2019.
I got this card in the middle of 2014 in readiness for medical thingys.
I rang a mate and he had a 'form pack' sent to him. I haven't had one of those, so I can only assume I've slipped through the net or they changed it to 50 ? (which seems unlikely).
I'm in two minds anyway. I haven't driven a truck commercially since 1994. But it cost me a lot of dosh at the time when I got it. Maybe I'm being daft and as long as I keep my "up-to-7.5tonne" and 'trailers' I should probably save my money
Anyone knowing if I am missing a couple of Gov forms due out 56 days ago?

I thought it was a medical from 45? Or is it a self certification? I forget
If you want to drive commercially you'll need your cpc too but for towing your land rover you don't.

The internet says 45 for a medical, but the main number is 2039 for C1 and the C says 2019. Essentially 50 and 70. I'm heading toward the fact that it runs out tomorrow. I'll see on Monday which way to go. I don't think I'll need to drive a truck in the next few days
Thought about CPC, but me and Terry weren't planning on commercial. He works on them but doesn't haul. So we thought that was a 'thing' too far.
I've changed the title to 'c' instead of 'C1'. This sure isn't a system for dyslexics.

Mechanics don't need to do cpc providing they only drive for mechanic duties. I believe that doesn't include driving it from a place of work to a repair centre as that's classed as delivering it?

He says; Because I changed from paper to card this year (2014) they brought the two dates in line, so I don't need to "renew with medical" until January 2019.

I'm not against the concept but they're delivering skills for a practical job in a classroom. Things like drivers hours or first aid work in a classroom but load security should be done at a trailer. Then again a practical course would cost more so how many would pay for it?
