This has knocked me sidewards, what am I missing,? not a stranger to lpg using on 88 range rover for 18 years, tinkered with,no problems, fitted lpg to my rover p5 so have some idea.
Purchased another range rover classic lpg 95 in Scotland, drove it 517 miles home on lpg ,didn't bat a eyelid. However I noticed my just under half petrol tank was getting lower and lower,so topped up.
next day left running on gas got underneath looking.
The petrol pump has no power on gas,and they're no leaks from tank to injectors.
I changed the fuel sender, but no wasn't that.so I ran out of petrol,to see if it affected the running on lpg,no no difference.
lpg is single point ,closed loop.if that helps.
"i did the obvious search first and found someone with the same problem, .. the person however was the owner of my rangey in 2011😠."[/b]

How odd does that sound!, if you said when it's on gas the pump is off and you said there's no leaks from the tank to the petrol injectors ,then If that's the case it's impossible to be using petrol, unless it's leaking fuel from the tank end? Filler pipe or breather pipe split ?

check the shut off valve.

my veg oil system does this occasionally. the solenoid doesnt close fully and the engine draws the diesel through on suction power alone.

you never know.

Been thinking how has it been wired up? How is the petrol shut off? Is it just stopped by turning off the jump?

Get the lead, plug it in and see if the ECU is set to use both LPG and petrol when on heavy acceleration, either adjust the map for what's 'heavy acceleration' or switch it off altogether.

Along with the above.
