I haven't been on the 4x4 scene for a long time I use to have a Suzuki sj413 and loved it but I'm gonna get back it to 4x4 with my son I have about £2000 and want to buy a good off roader that I can use daily for work but will handle the off-road terrain any help would be great full I was thinking maybe a vitara or pajero

I think the best advice, which I seldom heed, is to take your time to find a car that is as good as you can afford. There are lots of cheap sheds out there but there are also the diamonds.

No sorry - although I have a 2.5 my 2.8 is far better I'd give the 2.5 a miss - it's old possibly pre 1994 the OP would be better looking for the 2.8
