Hi, I'm looking at doing an engine and axle swop on my trialer, but because of its odd rear/mid engine layout the drive to the axles will be on the passenger side and rotate in the opposite way to normal. I'm thinking of using discovery axles but flipping them to put the diffs to the passenger side and the diffs upside down.
This should give me the drive direction I need.
I know I will need to redrill to swop the swivels around and make up new suspension mounts etc.
Can anyone think of any problems I may have. Cheers.

I don't know if there is a oil way to cause trouble if they are up side down. It feeds or drains oil to the pinion bearing?
If you are going slow it will probably be fine even if it makes it wrong on flow. It certainly made trouble on a rear engine S1 landy. I don't know how Colin Parks fixed it.
