Give us a clue or don't bother to post, sorry my guessing technique doesn't work any more. What car. Petrol or diesel. Did you warm it up before the test. What fuel is it running on. Where there any problems, smoke or poor running before the test.

What jojo said, you might think the clue is in the question but the answer is in his answer...

Perhaps, but then if you gave us a bit more details we might be able to give you a better, more full answer.

Generally you find on forums that if you give full details then you get full answers, do otherwise and you get little or nothing!

As a diesel is not tested for CO emissions I'm guessing it's a petrol...

0.3% is a fast idle reading
What's the slow idle reading?
What's the HC readings?

Without knowing any more, the first thing I'd do is change the air filter.
Remove the plugs and drop a bit of redex in each cylinder, put the rest in the tank.
Get the lambda sensor changed.
Replace plugs then take car for a Italian Tune-up.
Arrive at MOT station with engine hot, really hot. If early, wait in car with engine running, or takew it around the block again, in second gear...

Chaps
On the premise that there are no stupid questions, only stupid answers, it is reasonable to expect long term members to remember to be polite and friendly to newer members. It's one of the things we are known for or should be.

Thanks

Agreed, but I'm not sure that a Mexican/Italian Tune-up by itself would be enough, hence me suggesting checking/replacing/cleaning other items.
