Hi all , got my health and safety head on, took my son to a end of school party and his mate , the rear passengers seats are not the best positioned with steel roll bars inches away from their heads , the army would be wearing helmets , in the event of a crash , serious head issues would result , padded out bars , decided to do a more permanent repair as I seen a American as done , removed pads on seat frame cut 20mm thick wood fitted to frame and bolted , then fitted cobra bucket seats , you lose the flexiblity of folding the seats when not in use , but I prefer this method , the choice is yours

Hi , if any body taking their passengers seat for repairs ,recoating , just a tip before your refit as volvo decided to put a bolt instead of adjuster , drill a hole in opposite side rail base ,line up holes . Makes it Easier to refit base .then fit a 10 mm rod once seat in position put nuts on , just idea I had when I fitted bucket seats to base .
