Due to the extensive prolonged period of bad weather and the large amounts of rainfall that has fallen onto the Salisbury Plain Training Area the Ministry of Defence has issued warnings and restrictions to serving personnel on where and where not to drive and have issued restricted area maps to all concerned.
They have also advised the public, due to the risk of damaging the tracks and byways, that people refrain from using the training area until the ground conditions improve.
Red flags are being flown from all ranges to deter the use of the byways and the use is being closely monitored by the range wardens.

We went along the N edge last weekend then down towards Larkhill / Bulford and its not bad now, though we did stay away from the really wet parts like the German village area. Nine mile river is still as full as I've seen it this time of year, so its not fully dried out yet but seems to be getting there.
