It often takes yonks to do anything on the forum. I've got 75mbs download and 25mbs upload and it only happens on the Difflock website and forum, so it's not me. What's up with the forum - have the forum owners paid the bill?

I didn't notice but then I have the slowest broadband known to humanity!

Sometimes Mods will remove a thread like that if it seems to be trying to stir things for no real reason (or goes that way) or it is simply out of date in a housekeeping stylee.

As an addition, I'm on the forum at work which has good line speed and posting comments takes ages but navigating the threads happens almost instantly Confused

That is the same problem I have been having although its not all the time - hosting/server problem methinks.

The new ownership really do seem to be putting some serious effort into alienating the membership at the moment.

I'd be inclined to agree.

The thing is ..... what comes first? The shop or the forum? I would have thought the best shop window by far is the forum and it looks a bit like the window of a failing bookies at the moment.

There have been, apparently, some file corruption issues and updates carried out on the same server but not directly relating to Difflock. The Hosts are assuring us that the problems are now resolved but time will tell.

It's getting to the point where I'm thinking of going elsewhere. After clicking on to new pages and trying to post I'm getting fed up of logging in 20 times per visit.

Something needs to improve

The owners have, hopefully, finally got to the bottom of the problem and it looks like it is with the hosts. As a result they are going to move the forum and website once they have resolved the contractual and legal arrangements.

With your in depth knowledge you'll obviously be sympathetic to the problems and will continue to be patient with the owners while they resolve the issue.

I would be BUT...

Hasn't this all been done by a professional who should know all the pitfalls running ecommerce and forums together and also know all the hosting to avoid?
