What kind of problem are you having.
I know my 1600se will sometimes not lock because the door switch did not operate and it doesn't know you've gotten out.
You don't notice because the interior light comes on when you take the key out the ignition.

If you can lock/unlock the door with the key and all is ok.
Then it is the fob at fault.
Check out flea bay for a replacement?

I had it looked at by an alarm specialist and they couldn't find what was wrong and wanted to charge me £175 to supply and fit a new system, but it wouldn't of worked ether as it turned out to be the button that senses when the door is shut at fault, so it's a free repair!

When you open the door, just check the door open indicator light on the dash comes on. If it does then it should behave.
My switch looks like new but occasionally it won't make a good connection.
