discovery 1 300 tdi..which exhaust system?

Looks like my times up and I need too start spending...

Exhaust looks ready too fall off.

So what do you recommend?

Stainless steel?

Decat?

I like side exit ones on rear panel?

Stainless are good, long lasting but expensive, plus there is the possibility that they may last longer than the rest of the car, so will it be worth the expense?

Decat will make no difference to performance or fuel economy but dependig on what vehice it is and when it was manufactured it may fall foul of the MOT as if it had a cat when produced it should have one fitted permanently. However, it depends if your vehicle was recorded as having one when it left the factory. Some did and some didn't, and some had it recorded and others didn't - so pot luck there but the chances are it will not affect the MOT - but don't take my word for it - check.

How about the so called sports exhaust. Replace middle box with pipe and new back box.

Seen them for £65 ..Double that for stainless?

don't know about prices of exhausts but diesels DO NOT NEED a Cat for the MOT.
The Check for a Cat only applies to petrol engined vehicles.
