I knew something was missing from my life, cos I've found it again !
The fun of working on a land rover, flat on my back , rain trickling down through the engine bay, a healthy covering of oil everywhere......and the frustration of knowing the job has to be finished before I can go on holiday.
Whoever designed the radiator bottom fixing on the P38 needs **** with a rag man's trumpet!
Who in their right mind would put a semi captive nut in a plastic housing at the bottom of a radiator?
Right, coffee break over, ............ back on your heads!
( it's an old joke )

My one bugbear is the rear lights on a disco with the 2 seats fitted in the boot. Terrible access and always skinned knuckles.

Yep, that's all about choices in purgatory.
Think I've been given little choice here....... am now drenched and the rad is still in the vehicle.
seems some manufacturers delight in making life difficult for some simple service jobs. I dred the day i have to replace the front lamps on the wife's Modus.

to change the bulb on a ford kuga headlight , you have to remove the plastic trim in front of the light, to access the catches for the plastic trim under the light, and then you have to remove the ENTIRE light housing, before removing the shields on the back of the light to access the bulb..
and you whine about oil lol

Then try the rear lights on a soft top new beetle. Have you seen the size of the opening of the boot. Try getting your body into the boot, then to undo a nut you cannot see.......
