Hi,
I have need of something that will carry us oldies, our daughter, two grandchildren, a dog in a box (and maybe a portapotti .. I did say we were old). It would be nice if ther was room to have a comfortable kip while waiting for a ferry, or whatever, but not necessarilly a full-blowm motor home.
I've been fancying a Bongo, or similar , for some time. But what are they like to live with? What are your experiences? Would you buy another?
Insurance? Knowledgible garages? Spares? Fuel consumption? Etc?

I have had one for 3 years.
Its excellent but we only use it for best and trips out.
Its 22mpg around town 30 on a Cornwall run.
Its a 2.5 Diesel on a N plate.
The first job is fit this.

Second job is a new radiator and cam belt unless you can prove its had them
If a hose goes its good bye to the cylinder head as the factory gauge is slow to tell you, this gadget was designed for Bongos and has saved loads so its worth it. From memory a good head is £1000 fitted
Bongofury is the best forum
Wheelquick in Wigan is an excellent dealer
Its the best people carrier I have had Insurance £200 with Flux
PM me a phone number and I can call you and talk Bongo

According to one forum some one sells dodgey tarted up ones often Via Ebay, so don't buy one with out seeing it in the flesh, in case its a polished turd.

I've had a Bongo for about 5 years, its a 2.5TD with AWD, excellent in the snow, roomy and it does make a very good tow vehicle but it is expensive to run.
