Suffolk County Council are placing an 'experimental' 18 month TRO on this lane to ban all motor vehicles, during the first six months of the order they will allow objections or representations to be made, based on which will determine if the experimental closure becomes permanent.
If you have an objection please send them (in writing) to heather.miller@suffolk.gov.uk, detailing the grounds on which the objections are made, if at all possible please also ask them a question that requires a response as this guarantees that the objection is taken into account. Any objections must be made by the 2nd November 2013.
There is no reason to close this lane permanently. It requires mostly basic maintenance that has been left long overdue. Some pruning back and clearance, that would allow this lane to drain and dry properly.
We all need to write, both users and anyone else (such as passengers) who feel it is wrong to permanently deny one usergroup of yet another Public Right of Way in the area, and county.

If people could put it round the clubs it would help -and it does not matter if you don't live in the area as all objections (and agreements) should be taken into consideration. (You can bet that bobblie hats from all over the country will support the TRO)
For clubs, DO NOT send in a single objection from the club even if it is signed by many members as it only counts as one objection. Each member needs to send thier own objection even if they are all identical as each will then count in its own right.
