Interestingly in regards to lighting (rear and brake lights) I have found out that new/ repositioned lamps are only required if the "distance from the outermost part of the load or equipment to the outermost part of the illuminated area of the obligatory front or rear position lamp on that side exceeds 400 mm."
http://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/1989/1796/regulation/21/made
The language used in these government documents is pretty unusual. It's like listening to a robot. HaHa.
Although it seems I don't have to I'm going to fit some reflectors just because it seems sensible.

I demounted the unit for the first time today. It worked but was quiet tricky aligning it correctly so that I wasn't nudging or pulling it as I was going in and out.
I guess I will get better at it.
Here's some pictures:
I've also started on some of he detail work. There will be gypsy folk art style painting to complement the shapes.
I have also riveted 200watts of PV onto the roof with a nice MPPT controller and 170ah of liesure battery installed inside.

Absolutely love it!
Can't see any issues with carrying this type of load.
I do have one suggestion
Pull round curtain and you'll have all the privacy you could need.
Keep up the good work and looking forward to more pics.

I hit the weigh bridge today and it came in at 2,520kg leaving us 300kg for luggage (including us.) A little close to the maximum payload of 2,830kg but not to bad. It does shatter my dreams of a rear mounted motorcycle carrier though. Next time.
(Love the "en'suit" by the way Long Dave.)
