Hi Guys,
I've got a 1985 Range rover fitted with a very tired 3.5 V8 coupled to an auto box that i want to convert to a 200tdi manual.
i've got a 200tdi discovery manual as a donor vehicle so i can take absolutely everything i need off it.
Does anybody have any experience of this conversion and know of any complications? or is it fairly straight forward?
I think i'll have to use the discovery engine mounts off the chassis.
Any advise is much appreciated
Alex

if you have everything from the donor vehical its basically just swapping things over...just remember that when its finished, that annoying clanking noise is the engine.....

Yeah i thought as much, somebody mentioned changes to the transmission tunnel to make the gearbox fit? unless they just meant the manual gearstick instead of the auto? in which case that shouldn't be too difficult making something tidy..ish!
