hi, its freezing cold, my land rover 90 is parked in knee deep snow and i came home today with both rear light not working and the left front parking light neither. i have checked one of the rear bulbs (which was fine) but then my hand froze off and i somehow lost the motivation to check the other two bulbs. i am pretty sure i had a similar problem in the past and it was due to some dodgy wiring or a fuse problem. i have checked the fuses, they look fine. does that ring someone's bell? it is somewhat unlikely to be a bulb problem, all three of them packing up on the same day??? Confused

Left and right side lights are fused seperately i think, maybe o/s/r bulb gone and fuse blown for n/s meaning neither work? is it a blade fuse or round fuse type fuse box?

Wow - a 90 with parking lights - well I never...

...perhaps I should play with my electrics a bit to upgrade!

Seriously though, I have found on my 98 LR90 that when lots water sprays up under the front wheel arches it does something mystic to the electrics (passenger side only interestingly) causing a short circuit (I suppose)(somewhere) and popping the fuse.

Having lost count (well almost 6 times in reality) of finding the bulb OK after a lamp failure it has been the fuse at fault. No idea what is causing it - but since the simple solution is just to change the fuse I've not traced the cause down.

Look to the fuse first! At least that way you stay warm and dry Cool

Check those fuses they might not be working.

I wouldn't rule out multiple faults; you might be looking at a bulb that went weeks ago (but only just noticed), another that went recently - but took the fuse with it as sometimes happens, thus killing the whole side of the vehicle.

thanks for the suggestions, guys. it's not the fuses, i have checked all of them now. i managed to temporarily reactivate the front t light but then it failed for good. i think the housing for the bulbs is defect, will take one out when the rain finally stops in the spring of 2014.
