A couple of guys asked to join us laning recently and we had never really seen Pinzgauers before. They seemed pretty capable but not that stable over lanes like the Pheasant steps!

They have solid portal axles or independent suspension?

The feeling you get when you first smash your shaft out, is one you will never forget.. especially if you do it in front of 10 guys. |

Both. The chassis is a central 'spine' tube.
And the diffs run at dirive shaft speed not half shaft speed, so they are stronger per size. The crown wheels swing around them.
Expenisve, but neat

I'd love one of the 6 wheelers or the volvo 6 wheelers. Saw a load of them in a services once with the army, one of them had a really badly bent rear axle, god knows what they've done to it but if its going to get broken...

Oh man those pinz and volvo's are superb machines, absolutely stunning imo.
I'd love one but with cost of diesel atm and the wife... ugh...
...well a man can dream!
