trying to think of a good place to mount my farm jack onto my sj pickup, solid fastback not buck...

how have you guys got yours?? was thinking of mounting mine to the external roll cage,, its a road goer btw cheers

i would get one up but i havent got the rollcage on at the moment sorry.. think ill make a roof rack style mount and lay it on there, its a bit of a ****** to fit to an sj, considering its 48" long lol

I'm sure mine is a 48" one, but I might be wrong.

Anyway it just fits across the back of the pickup. I did have it mounted on some little brackets, but needed tools to remove it.

now its held in place on bars going through the holes, and secured with "R" clips. I put springs on as well to reduce the rattling. A bit pointless in a Sammi!! Wink

At first I had it, like, on the back with the spare 'swing away tyre mount' but after a few trips it was decided that it was a bit poo..... -



So then it moved to the front like and it's been (we are James, we are) sound ever since -



May not comply with your good old British M.O.T. requirements though.......

Where ever you put it make sure it's properly locked up. A friend had his pinched that was locked to the outside of his truck.
