I'm sure mine is a 48" one, but I might be wrong.
Anyway it just fits across the back of the pickup. I did have it mounted on some little brackets, but needed tools to remove it.
now its held in place on bars going through the holes, and secured with "R" clips. I put springs on as well to reduce the rattling. A bit pointless in a Sammi!!

At first I had it, like, on the back with the spare 'swing away tyre mount' but after a few trips it was decided that it was a bit poo..... -
So then it moved to the front like and it's been (we are James, we are) sound ever since -
May not comply with your good old British M.O.T. requirements though.......

Where ever you put it make sure it's properly locked up. A friend had his pinched that was locked to the outside of his truck.
