somewhere in the forums there is an article on removing the vit transfer box from the main box and remotely mounting sj transfer box. can someone direct me to it please

The alternative is to source the gearbox from a 2WD X90, as that already has a shaft output...

but does that not still have a sort of transfer box without the front output on it ????

not on the manual only on the auto box, the 2wd manual is longer than the 4wd manual so you may run out of room ?
