Hi everyone. I have been a Land Rover fan since boyhood. I have over the years owned several series vehicles and a hybrid. I dont own a full size Rover anymore tho(Might change soon tho). RC Cars are another passion of mine, again mostly offroad stuff. Scale RC`s have really taken of over the past few years, and I enjoy building and running them.

I have a Bowler Wildcat, a D90 that I use in scale comps(akin to 1:1 trials) and I am building another D90 based on the 50th anniversary D90 from 1998. I also have as future projects a Discovery 3 and a series 2a/3 bodyshell. I also have various other makes of 4x4 RC scale models, Jeep, Pajero, Ford F350, Hummer, Pinzgauer, and a Formula off road rig.

The first lot of photo`s is a real biggy for me. A Land Rover 101 Forward Control. I cant take any credit for building this rig. It is built on an Axial Dingo chassis with leaf springs, the body is scratchbuilt with plasticard. I plan on changing the axles to the metal ones pictured. As I think that they will look better under this bodyshell.

With a few of my other RC Land Rovers, from left to right. Bowler Wildcat, D90 work in progress, D90 scale comp rig and the 101"

These axles should fit nicely under the 101, they look more like 101 axles and they will add some weight to keep the 101 more planted.

And finally with her new military friends, from left to right. Re-re FAV, Hummer, re-re XR-311(from 2000), Full option Tiger 1

Thanks Colin,

The only video I have is of one of my D90`s. The rig has changed a little since this video was taken last year. Its running a different motor and wheels and tyres.

There was one of my Bowler, but I cant find it anymore. I hope to get some video this weekend of the 101". I only got it Tuesday!

I love RC cars. Currently have 5.
I love that 101. Would love to have a detailed model like that. Some of the models the german's build are epic. Working hydraulics, etc.
I have been trying to locate a Vitara body for past 4 years to go on a TL-01 chassis I have, but to no avail. Now I want a Frontera LWB body.
I don't suppose you know of anywhere do you?

The only Frontera bodyshell that I know too is a SWB by Tamiya. But it is called an Izuzu MU quite a rare shell now.

There is a shell that is similiar to a Vitara, but its not a Vitara. Its the proline descender

Made in both a 1/10 and a 1/18 version.

Three of my Tamiya's.

Hyper 7 - Bargain. Cost me £20 because it 'wasn't working properly'. The fault? The reverse doesn't work. Rolling Eyes

And my bodyless TL-01

Hiya,
really like the forward control, lots of detail and an impressive range of RC models.

I got into RC rock crawlers a couple of years ago, got hold of an SCX with a Honcho body and spent a while just messing around wherever I could, found a rock crawling club, local to me, at begining of this year and have since got an AX 10.

I'm starting my first "scale" attempt at the moment, have got an SCX chasis and Maverik Scout running gear, along with a Kamtek Bowler body. Wont be true scale, need a bit of practice Laughing , will attempt an interior though not sure how it will turn out lol. Also looking for an SJ body if anyone knows where to get one.....seem to be as rare as hens teeth lol.
