Hi i have a fourtrak f95 2.2 petrol and have been working on it over the past year
And i think its time to share it with you guys and gals.
This is how it became a GT4TRAK
Disclaimer: Item may not be listed in the order they where fitted Wink
This is what it looked like when i purchased it for the sum of £400

First things first 2 inch body lift

Now thats out the way i made the bumpers.
Front was made to use the bull bar and have a winch fitted
Back was made as basic as i could while matching the look of the front

This is how it will stay until I figure out what to do with tank guard.
While I was making the bumpers i was doing some body work as this track was quite rusty.

The rear corners were really bad so i cut them off. I think it looks
A lot tidier like this..

Now its time to look at the chassis.
There were a few holes but nothing that couldn’t be sorted
I’m not going to show all the holes as there was a lot. Also the rear leaf hanger had collapsed due to rot
But i forgot to take pics that.

now on the rear shocks i designed it previously but changed my mind so the cross member is already in place
nd

then i designed the high steer.
First things first, remove hubs, drill and tap to a m10

Then clean up and spray for rebuilding

while every thing was off I thought a clean up of the manual hubs
would go down nicely

now ive gone up i have to go out. Was going to do wheel spacers but found this may be better
this is the 10mm plate jig

Do this 4 more times, drill new valve hole, Pop the tyres on and this is the before and after shot

due to the larger tyres i had to adjust the carrier on the back

an off roader is no good if it cant breath under water so i came up with this.
First drill a hole 73mm

Buy some drain pipe and put it in place

Plastic weld and filler

Weld plate to bonnet and filler

At the fuel station, looking allright!

Well the articulation is fairly good

And now the motion

Noodle needs to learn how to use a camera

Was goiong really well then disaster!!
Aparantly 2.2 petrol push rod engines made by Toyota or any 1 else for that matter are not bullet proof.
(note to self, do not run on diesel contaminated petrol as kills big end bearings)
I think it caused it to det.
Mmm what to do?
Replace engine with:-
1. Same........bin there done that.
2. Diesel.......yawn
3. Rover v8....boat anchor yuk
4. Supra 2jz....mmm interesting
5. Celica gt4 3s-gte....as above
So the search is on for a new lump,
And the magic of ebay turned up not 1 but 2 celica gt4’s for the bargin of £500 for the pair,
one binned, the other blown lump.
First job fixed blown lump to sell complete car.
Then once that was out the way got started on the real work.
I stripped out all parts needed for the engine swap

had to get the ring gear removed and put on backwards as the fourtrak starter sits on the other side to the gt4

ok the next thing is the starter motor
had to do a mock up with 2mm before I made the plate from 6mm as it was easier
