Hi i peps i have a 2000 vit4u2 with the horrible pink letters.

I have done a 2" sus lift from jimmybits and got some front drop brackets.
but when im driving in 4wd it bangs and goes back into 2wd somtimes.

I am running 215 80 15 tyres on the back and 215 75 15 on the front but wouldnt think this would be a problem as there is no center difflock?? or am i wrong?

Any one had this problem before or a similar problem?
4wd all worked before i did the lift though it was some time before i used it. Thanks Adam

It will make a big problem as it will wind transmission up, eventually you will smash transfer box or a shaft or diff. 215/80x15 are nearly an inch taller than 215/75x15. The second number isnt height in cm its a percentage ratio so a 215/75x15 has sidewalls 75% of 215mm and a 215/80 had them 80% of 215mm. So you are actually adding 10% 5% at bottom 5% at top.

you deffo need to get a set of matching tyres as you can't run differant sizes when in 4wd as it will wind transmision up like said above

No centre DIFF, not difflock.

4wd only where wheels can spin and equalise.

Also apart from the wind up,mine did it after the 2"lift and all it was,was the transfer box lever being pushed out of place by the gaiter.

Also dont engage 4wd on hard surfaces, this will cause wind up, even more so with the different size tyres.
