|
|
|
Is it about time that we have a Scottish representation in the Premiership?
Swansea are there and Cardiff have been knocking the door for the last few seasons.
Cardiff appear to be more Scots than Welsh, manager and players !
I'm no expert but surely Celtic and Rangers are too good for the Scottish League (no disrespect to other teams there).
Do the Scots want to be part of the best League in the world?
Whats the concensus?
I'm for it !
Perhaps let them into the Championship for a season, and see if they qualify?

I know nothing about football, but lots about Sir David Murray & now Craig Whyte (or White) aka The Snowman.
Glasgow Rangers.
Minimum 9 million due to HMRC, 75 million in debt, in Administration and lost their last 3 league games.
Players need to take a 75% pay cut to save the 1 million a month they need to.
(they find out tomorrow how many players must go)
Ticketus paid 24 million for the season ticket money for the next 3 years)
Other teams players are now waiting for wages because of Glasgow Rangers not having made payments quick enough for gate money..
Cant see them going anyplace, let alone England.
Glasgow Celtic unbeaten in 20 games and with the last 17 of them being league.
Untill yeasterday when they were in a draw with Aberdeen FC
1-1 with a OG from Celtic.
Cant see them going anyplace either.

you're mistaking me for someone who gives a fudge!
Know nothing about football other than what I read in the news about a large tax bill, and the fact those 2 teams supporters still live and fight in the dark-ages like a modern crusade.

Cant see it happening , Rangers wanted it more as they are so desperate to be English anyway..
Could they be competitive in the EPL ? not straight away !! would they be Guaranteed European football every year ? No !! would they be willing to give up that income ? Not likely .. would the Fans want it ? Not the Celtic fans .. They would have to travel 6-700 miles for some games ..
Hopefully there will be big changes in British Football soon . Teams like Rangers , Man-city , Man united , Chelsea etc think they can buy titles and success and to a large extent they can . Take all the foreign players out of British football and most teams would struggle to be competitive..
Cap the amount of foreign players in teams to 2 or 3 , force clubs to invest in British youth , cap wages and spending .

Oh and MRMAN " the best league in the world "?????
I think the spanish would have something to say about that .
The english teams have been well and truly put in their place in the champions league this season . embarrassingly so
The EPL is not so different to the SPL .
EPL is a division of 20 teams dominated by 4
the SPL is a division of 12 teams dominated by 2 .
Rangers are in Debt to the best parts of 100 million
Man uniteds debt is over 700 million what the Glazers have done with them is not different to what Craig white has done with Rangers .
If Teams want to be part of the best league in the world surely they would all be wanting to play in spain with Barca and Real .
Barca are made up of predominantly Spanish players 16 out of 24 are spanish and 8 of their first 11 . How many English clubs even come close to that . Yet Barca are easily the best club side in the world ..

there must be a lot of illiterates on here either that or very bored people with nothing better to do , If I see a post about something pathetically boring ( to me atleast ) or example guns .. I just don't bother reading it ... let alone posting pathetic comments . not to worry each to their own

that will be like those who post provocative crap in the Syria thread and realise that after 5 seconds they are outclassed and never post again because they will be made to look really thick.
each to their own.
just one question though,

I still have no idea why conservative's and liberal democrats would want a tribe renowned for fighting and painting their faces blue, which pretty much died out a few hundred years ago and some forestry rangers? Or am I missing something? Because my original question ie "what are you talking about?" Still has not been answered, is it some secret code that you cannot reveal under pain of pain?

Why would the English teams want them in their league???
At the moment I couldn't see either of them doing anything exciting even in the Championship but given time (and the Sky TV money) both Glasgow teams have the potential to challenge for the Premiership title.
Would the top 4 in the premiership want another two major players eventually challenging for the title?
would the rest of the premiership like to get knocked down a couple of places in the pecking order?
Would the championship teams who are trying to get promoted want it??
Would the 1st 2nd 3rd division teams want to see two large teams parachuted in above them in the league?
I doubt it....
BUT money talks....if the TV men want it it WILL happen.
Oh and don't worry about the Old firm fans travelling, they would bring a huge away support to the very depths of England.
In 2003 when Celtic reached the Uefa cup final 80,000 fans travelled to Seville!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Bhoys_from_Seville
Admittedly there will not be the same numbers for an away game at Swansea or QPR but for big important games the Old Firm fans will turn out in HUGE numbers
Anyway I think you'll see Rangers in liquidation very shortly...
