I urgently need measurements for the distance between the centre of the wheel and lowest point of bodywork (as marked in pic) for as many STANDARD 4X4 vehicles as possible. Any help greatly appreciated.

I could get measurements of my disco if you want but the arches are cut back so probably no where near standard.
if it helps, I could also get a measure off the Jimny which is completely standard

W460 G wagen ~14cm.

80 series land cruiser ~8cm to front edge of the rear bumper just behind the wheels, however the mud guard is moulded into the bottom section of the wheel arch flairs, which comes down lower, does plastic trim count as bodywork?

That's a good question and not clearly defined in the regs that I can see.

I'd like to see that same number from the new Ibex on the other thread. It must have passed some test procedure.

Any limits as to the size of 4x4?
A volvo C303 for example would have a big number as would many flat deck light trucks and utes come to think of it. Any standard issue flat deck utes in the UK?
The Iveco 4x4 range come to mind.
Only for the back wheels?

Good luck with whatever it's for.

I'm basically interested in anything that would be entered in an MSA regulated cross country event

I'm guessing then that they would class the bodywork on our 80 series LC as coming down below the axle centre, rather than above it. The mud flaps on it are not removable unlike the ones flaps pictured above on that 110.

The 110's mudflaps aren't removable, they just haven't fallen off yet Laughing
