they havnt been on long enough yet but my last one killed brand new tyres in 3months but i was using it every day i think its when the torsion bars a wound up it changes the angle of the wheels

You are right. By lifting an IFS, you change the suspension and steering geometries. I found that only lifting my Mav by an inch or so gave me masses of negative camber (not always a bad thing mind) and negative caster (which made the steering vague-er). That is why Calmini sell modified upper wishbones to correct/re-align the suspension. If you havent all ready checked/adjusted the tracking, I would as the extra lift will toe the wheels in. I'd also suggest getting an (steering) idle arm brace made up as 33" tyres will take there toll. Oh and nice looking truck btw! Very Happy

thats what puts me off a spring lift, Just done a body lift and don't plan on putting massive tyres on in the near future so may wait.

As for roof bars, Stick some LWB ones on.

they come standard on my model terrano mate but i have seen them with lwb rails on swb and they look fine and are just what you need if you plan on putting spot lights on as they come right to the front of the roof
