Hi all can someone tell me how i can check a winch to see if its working by using just the cables and a battery on me work bench ???
Can it be done ??
It has 3 posts 1 yellow 1 red 1 black and earth on the bottom and it is a t max winch .

Connect motor earth to the battery negative (-) terminal. Connect the red terminal to either the yellow or black terminal, then connect the unused yellow/black terminal to the battery positive (+) terminal. To reserve the motor direction, just swap the yellow/black terminals connections round.
- to earth, red to black, yellow to +
or
- to earth, red to yellow, black to +
