Welcome to Difflock.

A couple of points

1. Please DON'T SHOUT, we can read you fine in lower case
2. please try to make your posts in clear plain English so we can understand what you want and people can then spend their time helping you rather than trying to understand you!

Cheers

Crumbs, thats a mix!
Landy tranny box? The input is self supporting with its own seal. It'll do the power okay. And plenty about Very Happy

What vintage G wagon axles are they and does the vehicle move with 4wd selected?

The front axle on earlier W460 G wagons rotates the other way to the rear G wagon axle. They need a G wagon transfer box (divorced type like SJ but a lot bigger) or flip the front diff, which is easier said than done. If you just connected early G wagon axles to an SJ box, in 4wd the axles would drive in different directions.

Lada Niva runs separate transfer box, with a lockable diff. dunno what power they would handle though?

Simon ran a V6 through his.?
And wasn't there a guy in Canada that coupled a merc through one?

A niva box is plenty strong enough, as said i used to break it off both mounts but never managed to ruin one. trouble is, if it's set up for an sj box then the front output shaft is on the wrong side on a niva box (passenger as opposed to driver)

Welcome to the forum.
Land Rover LT 230 Upgrade / Remote Input from Rakeway will give you the 3.33 : 1 lower gears and extra strength of the Landy transfer box. The bit you need is the remote input shaft in the link half way down the page.

What was said above about the reverse rotation front diff on the G Wagon is true and well worth checking out.

We like pictures!!!
