Any one tell me the ratios of Transfer boxes (L230)

Looking to re-gear a 300tdi Gearbox for a 101 .

I guess that

5th @ 2800 will give 1:0.77 -> 1:1-> 1:5.75 = on a 9x16 wheel gives about 65-70mph.

Which box has a 1:1 (or close to ) Hi transfer ratio.

And Q2 has anyone got one spare ?

If I remember right the LT230 comes with 1.6, 1.4 & 1.2 high range ratios. There is a T'box with a 1.1 ratio off an auto (I think) But I can't remember which, got a feeling it's a RR one though.

Disco is 1.2 to allow for the smaller wheels. Defenders & 90/110s are 1.4 or 1.6 depending on the original engine type.

IIRC the diffs in the 101 Salisbury axles are similar to the diff in a series 3 Salisbury rear axle. If you can swap the ring and pinions (goggle search intimates yes, but I can't find a defiant answer) then you could change from a 5.75:1 to 4.7:1 diff ratio, use a more common 1.2:1 LT230 and then still (in theory at least) manage 65+ mph. I would expect a pair of 4.7:1 Salisbury R&P gears to be easier to find than a 1:1 LT230.

All LT230 transfer boxes had the same 3.32:1 low range though, so off road it wouldn't go as slow with 1.2/3.32:1 & 4.7:1 as it would with 1/3.32:1 & 5.75:1 set up.

LT230 & overdrive while keeping the lower ratio diffs might be a similar price option?
