Hi everyone,
Finally got my SJ413 running after two years in the garage. Amazed that after reconnecting everything, all it took was a few seconds on the starter to get the fuel through, and it fired and sat ticking over as quiet as anything.
Only problem I have got, although I've only driven the car a few metres back and forwards on the drive, is a fairly noticeable 'clunk' from the nearside rear wheel area. It seems to be once per rotation. I did check the brake drum and that the wheel was tightened up properly (which initially it wasn't....long time since I last worked on it and forgot about that!).
Has anyone experienced a similar clunking noise and any ideas where to look initially?
Thanks

you sure its not a prop uj?
jack the rear up, chock the front wheels first though, and spin the wheel. check for play in bearing. if its not either of those then maybe the diff? have you got oil in the axles?

It is quite easy to mis-locate the rear brake shoes slightly when refitting, I have done this a couple of times myself and had the same sounding `clunk` once per rotation on the rear wheel.
If you jack up one side at a time and turn a wheel you will be able to hear straight away if that is the problem

One other thing to check, is that the four nuts that hold the drum on are tight as you can get a clunking noise if they arnt.
