I've been modifying my LJ70 for quite a while now.
The first project was supposed to end up like this.

And so the cutting started...

Hi,
Thanks, yeah it's been a real pain in the back side to get that body work done, but this project has been wanted for a long time.

Took me 2 years to get this far, most of the time I cannot be bothered being in the garage (and I'm a first timer as well, usually have to do it twice to get it done properly lol).

To do is still to fit the Komatsu fuel tank in the boot, the front bumper modified, front wheel arches closed, to fit the bucket seats, roll cage, brake and fuel lines sorted and then fine tuning.

Suspension will get upgraded after I have some fun on it, it's been seated for too long now, can't wait to drive it again.

Cheers

Sure is mate, I just need to put it out of the garage.

I'm working on the front bumper and the Komatsu fuel tank Very Happy at the moment but time is short as I've got heaps of college exams and the Yota had to become 2nd plan, yet again.

Nevertheless, hopefully the work will continue as from February.

Had a slight problem which I hope you guys can help.

Today was the day, after two long years of hard work I've finally connected all wirings back in place (even the ones I didn't need), charged the battery, connected the negative, connected the positive and #/*#. The horns came on like some crazy bitches and the hazards turned periodically on and off which seems like the alarm is doing what it's supposed to do - annoy me lol.

The problem now is that I have no idea where I've placed the alarm remote and no idea how to stop it neither.

Could any of you guys advise what to do?

is it a after market alarm???
if so just follow all the wire's and cut them out and rejoin the standard loom and bin the alarm

Don't know, I guess it is.

Where should I look for the alarm, in the dashboard?

Don't know the make, will have a look and update with more details.
I bought the car 6 years ago and the alarm was already fitted, always wondered if it was working as I never had to use it (now I know).

Hate being clueless lol

Great news!!!!

Did as suggested and the engine turned well after 3 years of being stopped.

Will remove it from the garage this weekend and take pictures with the big tyres on.

Cheers parrotveasey81
