Anyone in Newbury/Thatcham area with CB (and preferably SWR meter) who can help me do the last stages of setup on my Pinzgauer?

Thanks,
Stuart

I'll hold on to see if there's someone more local before making the journey but thank you both for the quick responses Smile

No problem. PM you number if you need any help.

That reminds me. I must get off my backside and fit the one I bought weeks ago. It is to go in my other off-roader.

Thanks to all who offered help, I think it's all running well apart from the SWR tuning. I am curious, though, what channels do people tend to use around Berkshire/Wiltshire/Hampshire? Ch19 seems pretty quiet...

Generally I only use mine when out doing some lanes in a group.
We just agree on a channel and stick to it for the day.
When I have listened to 19 it it has been quiet.

If were offroading, we usually hide down on channel 6 or up in chanel 34. mainly because these days its pretty quiet out there.

And if your antenna is not matched it will make things even quieter.
