hi,
I've just had a new clutch installed in my fourtrak but have noticed the burning clutch smell again...its only slight but got a bit worse when i did some towing. It seemed to be lacking in power up the hills as well...Also when in neutral i notice a slight chattering sound appears when i lift the clutch pedal.it goes again when my foot is down.Should I head back to the garage and ask them to check it out?
any advice much appreciated as ever,
cheers,joe

personally i'd be back round there like a shot, doesn't sound good at all, if they fitted all 3 parts new then you wouldn't expect any of these problems unless there was oil contamination.

A little burning smell is ok (its the friction plate wearing to the shape of the flywheel) It should clear after 30 miles or so
The chatering is probably the release bearing (adjusting the clutch cable should cure that)
